For your ears only

We've spent the summer holidays lazing on Melbourne's beaches, camping in Gippsland, enjoying family time with our little one, but now back at work Arni has come up with a gorgeous range of earrings for our friend Ellinor at Arbor in Brunswick.

They're all made with oxidised Sterling Silver and are Rose and Yellow Gold plated for effect.

Delicate geometric designs in different sizes to adorn your ears, prices range from $176 to $264.

Arbor is at Sparta Place in Brunswick and they stock a wide range of Australian designed and made wearable art jewellery.

I was commissioned to design a keyring in the vein of below ring design.
This is made of sterling silver and the small dome section is of shibuichi alloy.

A scaled down version in terms of size, and this time moving on to 2 tone gold

When the creative process follows on from a simple idea which already draws from a relative series, materialising becomes a breeze. I hope one can still see the playful element in this piece.

Still on the domey trip

I thought I'd have some fun with 3 domes, and once again place them non-concentrically.

from Copenhagen to Melbourne !

The design idea for this one came flashing by at the speed of light!
We had absorbed quite a bit of a Copenhagen feel in the first week of the new year mostly walking around its snow covered streets visiting galleries and museums.
Upon returning to Melbourne, materialising this concept seemed so easy.
This piece was produced very much in a playful spirit and with a lot of fun. It only took some 3 hours in total. This one is for Kimsie.

Weddings and wedders

This is a collection of wedding rings we developed a little while back. The designs are simple, and can be elaborated with stones and different textures of surfaces.

All of these can be made to size and in whichever metal the to-be-weds wish.

We're working on a new range of wedders and engagement rings at the moment.

The Big Blue

Did we tell you we like big rings? This beautiful piece is a blue quartz set in 9ct rose gold.


It's a chunky ring, but the band is carved out slightly so it's comfortable to wear. The setting shows off as much of the stone as possible, but is sturdy and strong.

Black beetle ring

This is a similar design to a ring we blogged about earlier. It's sterling silver and black onyx. The band is made from four identical bands and the setting is a lovely dome shape that works really well with the unusual cut of the stone.

More new pieces

This necklace was inspired by a Danish lamp. The half dome 'lamp shades' sit on top of red coral beads. They are threaded onto handmade 'segment chain' (we just made that up).

A very fashion forward friend of mine told me that this season is all about mustard... We must be ahead of our time as Arni bought these mokite beads months ago. The earrings, you will have seen before, but this photo really shows off the colour of the stones.

Dea's Ring

I was commissioned by Dea to make this in 9ct rose gold. I had earlier produced one very similar but in sterling silver. The diameter of the dome is approximately 30mm - like a 20 cent piece. This design inspired by 70s Scandinavian jewellery.

Tipi's bracelet

Here's a bracelet I made for my sister. It is made in sterling silver with two curved 5mm round wires that taper at the ends , one slightly longer than the other, and two 14mm balls. One of the balls make up the catch which consists of 2 half-domes each containing powerful rare earth magnets.

Take care at the dinner table when wearing this bracelet as the magnets will pick up the cutlery!!

The Turquoise Ring

I made this silver ring in wax. The webbing on this chinese turquoise are so bold, the stone itself is just beautiful. Thanks for the stone Belinda!

Big rings - and we mean BIG

These rings are designed for Lee Lin Ching... Nah, just kidding, but I think she would like them.



The first ring is set with a piece of red coral.



This one is inspired by a classic scandinavian 70's design.

Arni's earrings

Arni came up with this earring design for the recent 'Open Studio' at the Nicholas Building in Melbourne. He does not have a studio there, but Ellinor was keen to have him as part of the event in studio 508.

Two pairs have sold, so he'll have to get busy and make some more, because he has been asked by Raymond de Swart at Black Finch to stock them with a small range. Exciting!

The earrings are made with Sterling Silver, red coral, aventurine and mookite.

For mum

This particular ring is a re-modelling project Arni did for my mother. It is a combination of her and my dad's wedding-bands plus a classic eternity ring. The yellow gold band set with the 8 diamonds spins inside the squarish white gold band.

We made this together for a recent birthday. The catch is gold-plated 9 karat gold with rare earth magnets and the black onyx beads are strung on black silk.

Lindegaard - a one-woman and one-man show

Lindegaard jewellery is not a one-woman show. Actually it is a one-woman and one-man show. Arni is the person who encouraged me to experiment with jewellery design. He's got many years of experience and is a real gold-smith.

At times we collaborate, and sometimes, such as with these pieces, Arni lets his imagination and skill run wild.

These rings were created using a variety of semi-precious stones and sterling silver.
